Liora Health is a Georgia-based telehealth medical weight loss practice founded by Rachel Lindell, PA-C. I provide GLP-1 weight loss treatment for Georgia residents.

Currently, GLP-1 medical weight loss services (including semaglutide and tirzepatide prescriptions) are only available to Georgia residents, as required by my Georgia PA license. I'm developing a weight loss course for clients outside of Georgia. It isn't available yet, but stay tuned for updates on the release date.

No. Liora Health is a fully virtual telehealth practice. All visits are conducted securely online, allowing you to receive care from anywhere in Georgia.

No. Liora Health is a cash-pay medical practice. I do not bill insurance for visits or medications. Some insurance plans cover brand-name GLP-1 medications, but coverage varies and often includes restrictions. Even with newer cash-pay pricing options, brand-name medications are typically more expensive than compounded formulations. At Liora Health, I prescribe compounded GLP-1 medications prepared by licensed U.S. pharmacies. This allows for transparent, predictable monthly pricing and ongoing medical supervision without insurance delays. HSA and FSA funds may be eligible. Please check with your benefits provider.

All new patients begin with a complimentary 30-minute New Patient Intake Visit.

During this visit, we will:

• Review your medical history

• Discuss your weight loss goals

• Review recent labs if available

• Determine whether GLP-1 treatment is right for you

• Outline your personalized plan

Medication is prescribed only when clinically appropriate.

GLP-1 membership pricing depends on medication and dose.

Semaglutide starts at $149 every 4 weeks.

Tirzepatide starts at $199 every 4 weeks.

Pricing varies by dose. The goal is safe, steady weight loss of approximately 1–2 pounds per week on the lowest effective dose.

Your Georgia GLP-1 membership includes:

• A four-week supply of compounded semaglutide or tirzepatide shipped to your home

• Ongoing dose titration and clinical monitoring

• Quarterly telehealth follow-up visits

• Secure messaging access to your provider

Lab fees are not included, but lab review is included in your membership.

GLP-1 (glucagon-like peptide-1) medications are prescription treatments that regulate appetite and improve blood sugar control.

They work by:

• Increasing fullness

• Slowing stomach emptying

Semaglutide and tirzepatide are commonly used in medical weight loss programs throughout Georgia.

Compounded GLP-1 medications are prepared by licensed U.S. compounding pharmacies using the same active ingredient found in brand-name medications.

Formulations may include additional ingredients such as B12, B3, or glycine based on individual needs.

Compounded medications are not FDA-approved products but are legally prescribed and prepared under pharmacy regulations.

Common side effects may include:

Most side effects are mild and improve with time or dose adjustments.

Yes.

Before starting GLP-1 treatment, I require recent lab work that includes kidney and liver function testing.

If you have had bloodwork within the past year that includes creatinine and liver enzymes (AST and ALT), you may submit those results.

If you do not have recent labs, I can order them for you.

Not necessarily.

GLP-1 medications can help initiate weight loss while you build sustainable nutrition and strength habits. If you choose to discontinue treatment, we will create a transition plan to support long-term maintenance.

GLP-1 medications are not appropriate for individuals who:

• Are pregnant or breastfeeding

• Have a personal or family history of medullary thyroid carcinoma

• Have Multiple Endocrine Neoplasia syndrome type 2 (MEN2)

These medications are prescribed only when clinically appropriate after reviewing your medical history during your intake visit.

If your concern requires more in-depth evaluation, we may schedule an additional consultation.

Because Liora Health is 100% telehealth, I can see patients anywhere in Georgia. That includes Atlanta, Marietta, Alpharetta, Roswell, Sandy Springs, Savannah, Augusta, Columbus, Macon, Athens, and every community in between. As long as you are a Georgia resident and physically located in the state during your visit, you are eligible for GLP-1 weight loss care.

Liora Health prescribes compounded semaglutide and compounded tirzepatide. Semaglutide is the active ingredient in Ozempic and Wegovy, and tirzepatide is the active ingredient in Mounjaro and Zepbound. I don't dispense those brand-name products themselves — they're manufactured and filled differently — but the compounded medications I prescribe contain the same active ingredient. During your visit, I'll walk you through how compounded GLP-1 treatment works and whether it's appropriate for you. (Ozempic, Wegovy, Mounjaro, and Zepbound are registered trademarks of their respective manufacturers and are not affiliated with Liora Health.)

Both are GLP-1-based medications used in medical weight management. Semaglutide works on a single hormone pathway (GLP-1), which helps regulate appetite and blood sugar. Tirzepatide works on two pathways (GLP-1 and GIP). Individual response varies, and the right choice depends on your health history, how you tolerate the medication, and your goals — something we'll decide together at your visit.
